Trained as a barrister and called in 2007, Brendan combines courtroom experience with a practical, business‑minded approach honed during an earlier career in advertising and media. He rapidly identifies the pressure points that matter—control, cash, customers and reputational risk—and designs a clear litigation and negotiation strategy aimed at delivering decisive outcomes, whether that is a managed exit, a fair‑value buy‑out, restoration of rights, or negotiated governance protections.
For nearly two decades, Brendan has acted in complex, high‑value disputes before the High Court and Court of Appeal, achieving successful outcomes in matters involving leading banks, Premier League football clubs and internationally recognised entertainment businesses. Brendan acts for both majority and minority shareholders in disputes arising from exclusion from management, dilution of shareholdings, diversion of business and profits, deadlock, abusive use of articles or shareholder agreements, and breakdowns of quasi partnerships. He is experienced in securing and resisting urgent interim relief—freezing orders, search orders and injunctions—to protect value, preserve evidence and prevent dissipation of assets at the critical early stages of a dispute.
