New Home Office guidance on preventing illegal working

Organisations employing foreign workers are advised to review their employment procedures following publication of updated Home Office guidance on preventing illegal working.

Notably, the new guidance sets out new rules applicable when employing Romanian or Bulgarian nationals, following the lifting of restrictions on such nationals wanting to work in the UK from January 2014. The document also gives new guidance on employing Croatian nationals taking into account the restrictions on them introduced in July 2013.

There is also guidance on how to use the new Fast Payment option to pay any civil penalties.

Access the Home Office guidance on the UK Border Agency website.
